Happy Thanksgiving!
I thought I would include a glimpse of our Halloween party last month. I love getting to wear goofy outfits for Jesus.
Above is a photo from our TCC core. God has been kind to us this semester. We have a really great group of people. This is us playing uno after our lesson was over. Our students hang out each week after our core. The sense of community among these students has been ministering to me. TCC has gone through many changes. This is sort of the typical experience for a community college. Students leave after a semester or a year. This can lead to a culture of students not wanting to invest in organization since they don't plan on being around for long. I have been so encouraged that these students want to spend that extra time together. I am also excited that several of these students want to transfer to UTA next year. I thank God for this. The whole goal of being at TCC is that we can be a bridge for students to have instant community at their next school.
Here is a specific prayer request for one of our TCC students. He has been coming around since the beginning of us planting at TCC. He is not a christian, and yet, they are our most consistent and faithful members of our ministry. He has been a thoughtful friend to many of the students who attend. Be praying that he can come to know the Lord. Pray that his ears will be open to the message of Jesus.
Below are some photos from the gospel choir our students put together for our last service.
Two student leaders, Mia and Sonnie put this together. We had all four parts! Yay for the guys who wanted to sing.
Our last service went out with a bang. We have been preaching through 1 Corinthians. Our last sermon focused on 1 Corinthians 15 and the resurrection. This sermon was incredibly meaningful. Upon reflecting, I have been wondering if people struggle in their faith because they have an anemic hope. That their belief on what our faith is heading towards is weak. Our faith in Jesus's resurrection should make us bold and excited. Our students seemed to resonate with this. We served communion and then this awesome choir sang two songs.
Here is some scripture that ministered to me from the sermon. This is good news as we prepare our hearts for Christmas:
1 Corinthians 51-58:
Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.” “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Here is Graham with his old pal Sion. Sion and Graham met back when they were attending FOCUS at Collin College.
Here's Bonnie and Hailey. We went on a little coffee date.
Here are some of my sweet friends who had to bathe Bonnie after a particularly terrible blow out.
Here is one of our amazing student leaders, Dom.
Here is a game night Graham hosted. We love getting to do life and how Bonnie gets to be around such great people.
Here is Bonnie and Vincent. We were watching our church's softball game.
